Please note that outside groups not affiliated with Syracuse University will need to cover the cost of SU Department of Public Safety (DPS) staffing during events, as well as any catering costs associated with your event.
DPS Staffing: As of Spring 2025, the DPS hourly rate is $65.40 per hour with a three-hour minimum. SyracuseCoE will invoice your group for this expense.
Catering: All food and beverage service on campus must be provided by Syracuse University Catering Services in compliance with university policy. Event organizers can visit the Campus Catering website to see menus and create an account. For receptions, please note that a minimum of 30 days advance notice is required to obtain a NYS liquor license. We ask that you follow SyracuseCoE’s event sustainability practices.
