SyracuseCoE Executive Director Jianshun “Jensen” Zhang Named Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Ventilation

Jianshun “Jensen” Zhang, SyracuseCoE Executive Director and Syracuse University Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Ventilation for three years.

Professor Zhang has been a contributor and editor since its inception in 2002. Dr. Zhang has over 35 years of ventilation and IAQ related research experience. His most recent publications include three book chapters in the Handbook of Indoor Air Quality: Managing IAQ at Multiple Scales: From Urban to Personal Microenvironments; Simulation for Indoor Air Quality Control; and Testing and Reducing VOC Emissions from Building Materials and Furniture to Improve Indoor Air Quality.

The International Journal of Ventilation (IJV) publishes peer-reviewed research on the theory and practice of ventilation, with the goal of improving air and human health. IJV prioritizes ventilation theory research that can be utilized in various international settings. The journal’s current (2022) issue includes research on air temperature, combinational fans, and air volume as they relate to advancements in building efficiency for optimal ventilation.
