This project investigates the feasibility of power system expansion planning with community solar as an alternative to new generation facilities. This is achieved by developing a framework to replace the traditional costly generation and transmission expansion planning solutions with distributed solutions that are environment-friendly, cost-effective, and leverage community resources in power generation and control.
