GDF Suez Joins as Industry Partner
The Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems (SyracuseCoE) and GDF SUEZ Energy Resources announced the two entities will enhance their collaboration through GDF SUEZ’s membership in SyracuseCoE’s “Partner Program.”
For over ten years, GDF SUEZ Energy Resources and Syracuse University have been working together to provide responsible power and environmental benefits to the facilities and people of the University.
“Participating in the program allows us to become involved with key institutions in central New York State. By collaborating in economic, engineering and science programs at SyracuseCoE, GDF SUEZ Energy Resources looks forward to enhancing the viability of sustainability solutions in the region,” said Sam Henry, President of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources. Separately, GDF SUEZ Energy Resources supports sustainable efforts and initiatives in New York such as the New York Prize, NY REV, and others that raise the profile of the region and compete with markets such as California to lead the sustainability revolution.
SyracuseCoE’s “Partner Program” is a vibrant network of businesses and academic institutions working together to accelerate the commercialization of environmental and energy innovations. Led by Syracuse University, program members collaborate to conduct targeted research, demonstrate new technologies, commercialize innovations, and educate the workforce. This, in turn, supports job creation in the region and further advances New York State’s reputation for excellence in environmental and energy systems around the world. Syracuse University recently signed a multi-year contract with GDF SUEZ Energy Resources to provide energy and related services to Syracuse University.
