About
SyracuseCoE’s state-of-the-art facility is now home to the Building Training and Assessment Center (BTAC). The SyracuseCoE BTAC trains future professionals in how to examine a building’s performance, from its energy use to its carbon emissions and indoor environmental quality. BTAC is a complement to Syracuse University’s existing Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC), and serves as a instructional site for the university’s engineering and architecture students.

Our mission is to evaluate building performance, overall functionality, and compliance with standards that prioritize human health.
